Firefighter Wayne Poston watches firefighter Patrick Rogers go through the
decontamination shower during an exercise at Edwards AFB, Calif., designed
to demonstrate what would happen if there was a mass contamination of people
due to a chemical, biological or nuclear attack.
Members of the 59th Medical Group Public Health and Bioenvironmental Engineering,
Edwards Hazardous Response Team, 95th Civil Engineer Group Explosive Ordnance
Disposal and 95th CEG firefighters, worked together to set up and demonstrate
a mass decontamination process. The exercise demonstrated several different
activities, including the decontamination shower, removal of self-contained
breathing apparatus and a chemical/biological agent test kit.
