Lt. Gen. Paul K. Carlton, Jr., pins the Distinguished Service
Medal on Brig. Gen. Klaus O. Schafer, assistant surgeon general
for medical readiness, science and technology, during his retirement
ceremony at Bolling AFB, Officer's club. Gen. Schafer retires
from the Air Force with more than 29 years of active service,
plus and additional four years at the Air Force Academy.
