AF announces selections to colonel,
lieutenant colonel, major

RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The 2006A Line of the Air Force, Biomedical Sciences Corps and Nurse Corps central selection board selected 473 lieutenant colonels for promotion.

Additionally, the 2006B Medical Service Corps lieutenant colonel board selected 23 majors for promotion and the 2006A MSC major board promoted 78 captains. The entire list can be found on the Air Force Personnel Center's homepage at http://ask.afpc.randolph.af.mil.

The boards considered 5,049 lieutenant colonels for promotion, 143 majors and 90 captains. The results of the boards are as follows:

LAF - 365 selected from 806 considered for 45.3 percent select rate
BSC - 13 selected from 27 considered for a 48.1 percent select rate
NC - 14 selected from 36 considered for a 38.9 percent select rate

LAF - 13 selected from 1,059 considered for 1.2 percent select rate
BSC - None selected from 47 considered for a 0 percent select rate
NC - None selected from 45 considered for a 0 percent select rate

BSC - 1 selected from 81 considered for a 1.2 percent select rate

MSC-- 18 selected from 26 considered for a 69.2 percent select rate
