Continuing Education Program
Lecture and Handouts
The DECS staff has developed several briefings to provide teaching resources to federal dental clinics for meeting yearly mandatory training requirements. With the support of the American Dental Association*, Academy of General Dentistry, National Board for Certification, and the Dental Assisting National Board*, DECS has developed a means for US Federal Government personnel (including Canadian military dental personnel) to obtain accredited continuing education (CE). Continuing education credits earned from participating in the DECS CE program may not apply to other professional organizations or in all licensing jurisdictions; it is your responsibility to verify the CE requirements of other organizations. Tests have been written for many of these notes and briefings. To obtain continuing education credit, download or view the notes and/or briefing. After completing the test, click the "Submit Exam" button. If you pass the test, a letter awarding the appropriate number of hours of continuing education will be mailed to you. The letter can be used for documentation of CE hours. The column on the right states what type of provider is eligible for national credit for the corresponding test. To obtain the briefings, please refer to the following instructions:
To Save to Disk - Right click the link and pick "Save Target As...".
To View Now - Left click on the link.
If you have any questions or difficulties in downloading or taking the tests, please contact Webteam.
NOTICE
The DECS CE program is back online, however there may be some delays in returning your test grades and letters as we experienced some significant delays in our move and are still transitioning to our new location. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you in advance for your patience.
