Beginning with Fall AMP 2009 - 14 Sep – 23 October 2009

Aerospace Medicine Primary (AMP) In-Residence (I-R) Course

1. Students graduate the I-R AMP course/pin-on Flight Surgeon wings without SERE – SERE becomes a “Mission Ready”/Readiness requirement as dictated at the unit level.

2. Class length increases by 2 weeks – total 6 weeks for all through Spr 2011

Dec 08 U&TW recommendations – project 2 additional weeks = total 8 weeks starting Sum 2011

- For USAF Guard or Reservist - 3 x 2 week increments = 6 weeks thru Spring 2011

(proj. 2011 – 3-3-2 - per increment breakdown = 8 weeks without SERE)

3. No more SERE School at USAFSAM - closes after 30 Sep 09 – 15 Sep 09 last class date
